Dallas Sheriff Lupe Valdez, Carrolton Mayor Becky Miller, President of University of Dallas Dr. Francis Lazaros, State Representative Jim Dunnam, FBI Special Agent Michael Anderson, Bishop Dr. Kevin Knouse and Dr. Jeremy Adams were the speakers of the dinner. (September, 20, 2007, Dallas)

5th Annual Dialog Dinner was held at Renaissance Dallas Hotel on September 20, 2007. Around 250 special guests including mayors, city council members, judges, law enforcement officers, university presidents, provosts, academia, pastors, rabbis and state representatives attended the dinner.  

Bishop Dr. Kevin Knouse, North Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod stressed the importance of dialog. He also stressed the Christian perspective of dialog.

Dr. Jeremy Adams, Professor of History at Southern Methodist University, talked about Turkish Muslim Scholar Fethullah Gulen and his contributions to dialog and world peace.

State Representative Jim Dunnam mentioned his experiences of trip to Turkey in May-2007. He referred his amazing experiences from the trip and his future plans to improve dialog and understanding in the community.

Rabbi Jeffrey Leynor, Temple Shalom, performed invocation together with a Pastor and an Imam.

Mr. Dogan Koc, Secretary of IID, commented on the important work accomplished by the IID and how IID Dialog dinners have grown from one (3 sponsor organizations) city in 2000 to 18 (more than 300 sponsors) different cities in 2007.

Dr. Francis Lazaros, President University of Dallas, expressed his gratitude in being amongst all those distinguished guests with a sincere hope that he can participate further in dialog and intercultural activities.

FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Michael Anderson, FBI Dallas Division, Assistant Director Special Agent in Charge, informed about FBI`s programs and its improvement in diversity. He also mentioned FBI's language program over 50 languages. He expressed his appreciations and thanks for organizers and sponsors for their contributions to dialogue and peace in the community.

Dallas Sheriff Lupe Valdez stressed diversity in Dallas and how to improve it. She also mentioned her contributions to improve the diversity in the city. She has been inspired by the activities of IID and will continue to support as best as she can.

Carrolton Mayor Becky Miller mentioned her experiences of trip to Turkey in May-2007. In particular, she talked about the amazing hospitality of Turkish People.  She said she had a chance to see rich history and modern life in Turkey.
