Raindrop at US-Panama Business Council |
Executive Director of Raindrop Turkish House, Ali R Candir and President of Texas Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce, Ali K Civelek participated in the inauguration dinner of US-Panama Business Council Southwest Chapter. Business Council was created to strengthen the relationship between two countries and promote business opportunities. Minister of Commerce & Industry of Panama, the Hon. Carmen Gisela Vergara gave a speech about the importance of this council. Mr. Candir and Mr. Civelek thanked to Hon. Adsinar Cajar Bocek, Consul General of Panama for the invitation and the kind hospitality. (July 14, 2008, HOUSTON)

Raindrop Turkish House is an educational, charitable, social and cultural organization and now it operates in six states: Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Raindrop also offers educational services such as Turkish and English classes, Turkish Cuisine Cooking classes, music classes, seminars and international conferences. Raindrop also helps the needy through its charity organization Helping Hands. Raindrop organizes Breakfast & Morning conversations, which is a series of public conversations that draw together diverse minds to discuss critical issues and engage in cooperative social action.
