Armenian and Turkish relationship has been a controversial issue not for two nations but also for international, especially, European affairs. Central theme of the discussion has been the disagreement in the perceptions of the history, particularly on the events that occurred during the declining years of the Ottoman Empire. (April, 14, 2007, DALLAS)Prominent hearable voices from both sides were the marginal groups, either genocide claims or denial of any such events. There have not been much done to establish reconciliation or dialogue between two nations. The objective of the proposed conference is to investigate the patterns and possible dynamics for peaceful coexistence between Turkish and Armenian societies. The conference aims to inspire Armenian and Turkish societies, public and researchers to explore new approaches and paths to peace, to employ mutual understanding and to explore future cooperation. Proceedings of this conference will be published by the Raindrop Foundation. Selected presentations will be developed to academic articles to be published by an academic press.
