Raindrop Turkevi Executives kindly received FOX 26 Houston Executives D'Artagnan Bebel, Vice President and General Manager, Jackie LeDay, Director for Community Relations. A sincere and deep conversation was taken by both on the importance of community affairs as they were enjoying the lunch at which home-made food was served together with Turkish tea. A brief presentation of past activities and the upcoming events of Raindrop Turkevi were given by Raindrop Executive Cemil Teber. Raindrop Turkevi Executives visited Consul General of Mexico |
Raindrop Turkevi Houston branch director Ali Riza Candir visited His
Excellency Carlos Gonzalez Magallon, Consul General of Mexico. During
this visit, they talked about the Mexican and Turkish people here in
Houston and similarity between these two rich cultures. Mr. Candir also
presented Raindrop's activities and Raindrop Helping Hands.
Raindrop Helping Hands has currently an aid campaign for those affected

Miya Shay from ABC13 (KTRK TV) visited Raindrop Turkevi to receive information about activities and programs. After a warm and casual dinner, Turkish tea and desserts were enjoyed and a great conversation took off. Miya Shay joined the Eyewitness News Team in December of 2002 as a General Assignment Reporter. Before coming to Houston, her job history included working as a reporter for WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Discover Turkey in Brazos Valley Worldfest |
Brazos Valley Worldfest 2007 was held in Bryan Historic Downtown on November 17, 2007. College Station Raindrop Turkevi and Turkish Student Association (TSA) at TAMU jointly presented Turkish culture and vision in the festival. Raindrop and TSA served baklava for visitors to experiance Turkish culture to some extend. Texas A&M University is spearheading the organization of first-time, community-wide festival. As Raindrop Foundation, we have established an aid program called Helping Hands. The purpose of the Helping Hands is to aid people who are affected by natural disasters in different parts of the world. As you all know, people of Bangladesh and Mexico have experienced catastrophic events last several months. The Helping Hands initiated an aid campaign for those who are affected by natural disasters.

Raindrop Turkevi and IID Executives visited Secretary of Texas State Phil Wilson. Executives briefly informed Secretary about their activities in Texas and contributions to American society. Last year Secretary Wilson has visited Turkiye with Texas Governor Rick Perry. During his visit, Secretary Wilson loved Turkiye very much, therefore, learned some Turkish words. Wilson kindly accepted invitations of Executives to Cultural Center and promised to attend activities of both Raindrop and IID as much as his schedule allows.

Dallas Raindrop Turkevi executives visited Latino Cultural Center |
Raindrop Turkevi executives visited Latino Cultural Center in Dallas which is under the City of Dallas Office Cultural Affairs. General Manager of Cultural Center Ms. Alejandrina Drew welcomed Raindrop Executives by herself. She informed broadly about the Center in her office. After exchanging information about both Latino Cultural Center and Raindrop Foundation, Ms. Drew gave Raindrop Executives a tour in the Latino Cultural Center. Ms. Drew showed Raindrop Executives their art exhibits. Raindrop Executives presented their souvenir which had a St. Sophia's picture on it, to Ms. Drew, General Manager of Latino Cultural Center which she loved and thanked very much.
