UT Austin hosted the first ever Nowruz in Austin
festaus.jpg    University of Texas (UT) at Austin hosted the first ever Spring Festival, Nowruz. The event's major sponsors were Raindrop Turkish House and Turkic Cultures Student Association in which participation was over 500 spectators. Representative bodies and communities from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan celebrated the rich mosaic of variant cultures and heritages. (March 21, 2008, Austin, TEXAS)
 
International Day at CCCCD Spring Creek Campus
d2.jpg       Dallas Raindrop Turkish House and Students from Colin County Community College District have represented Turkiye in International Day at Spring Creek Campus of CCCCD. International days' inevitable is fashion show, in which nations had an opportunity to introduce their traditional costumes. Talent show was preceding the fashion show. Nations tried to introduce their country by exhibiting their tradition on a table. Turkiye was one of the most attractive among the tables. Professors, students and administrators were glad to find mosaic of the world under one roof. (March 25, 2008, Dallas, Texas)
 
Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Elba Garcia Received Raindrop Executive
d1.jpg        Executives of Raindrop Turkish House  visited Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dr. Elba Garcia of District 1. Raindrop Dallas Branch Director Mr. Vepa Rejepov introduced Raindrop Turkish House and activities of the Foundation. Director Rejepov mentioned about the contributions of the Rainrop Tukish House to the society which was appreciated by Mayor Garcia. Mr. Rejepov also invited Dr. Elba Garcia to Raindrop Turkish House for a lunch. Mayor Dr. Elba Garcia highlighted importance of the Raindrop Turkish House  in society to promote peace and mutual understanding among diverse cultures in Texas. (March 25, Dallas, Texas)

culberson.jpg      Turkish-American Community Welcomed US Congressman Honorable John Culberson:7th District of Texas.Raindrop Turkish House , The Institute of Interfaith Dialog (IID), The Institute of International Commerce and Partnership (IICP) , Texas Gulf Institute (TGI) organized a lunch to Honor Congressman Culberson.  Congressman  talked about the issues that are related to Turkish-Americans. Turkish Community Welcomed Garland Mayor Ronald Jones
d.jpg       Executives of Dallas Raindrop Turkevi  hosted Garland Mayor Ronald Jones and his wife. Program started with delicious lunch, in which dishes were from both Turkish and Turkmen cuisine. Furthermore, Raindrop Turkish House Executives and Garland Mayor agreed to jointly organize cultural events in near future. Mayor Ronald Jones interested in learning Turkish therefore, Raindrop Turkish House will provide him an individual teacher for him. Finale, guests were very pleased with both hospitality and foods.(February 5, Dallas, Texas   
 
Raindrop Turkish House Hosted Ms. Andrea White
baskan.jpg       Raindrop Turkish House hosted Ms. Andrea White, wife of Houston Mayor Bill White, Mayor's Protocol Allience  and very respected community members from Greater Houston Area. The event is called "Turkish Cultural Day" and delicious food, desserts along with the Turkish folk dance and songs made the Houston afternoon just wonderful. Texas House of Representative Donna Howard visited Raindrop Turkish House
austin1.jpg          State Representative Donna Howard visited Raindrop Turkish House. After a warm and casual dinner, Turkish  desserts were enjoyed and a great conversation took off. Dr. Yildirim gave a presentation about Turkey Trip. Mr. & Mrs.  Howard are willing to join one of the trips in this summer.
