City of Houston asks your help to clean up our neighborhoods, below you will find the newsletter sent by CitizensNet on September 17, 2008.For a cleaner and safer environment, it's time to work together.
In order to help the City of Houston recover as quickly as possible from Hurricane Ike, citizens are requested to please clean your yards and help your neighbors clean theirs as well. 1. Bag leaves and light yard waste and stack in bags at the curb 2. Cut up wood if possible and stack at the curb 3. Stack branches and place at the curb (No specific requirements as to how the branches need to be bundled, but the neater, the better) I would encourage you to regularly check the City of Houston homepage www.houstontx.gov for more information on ways to help and be helped in Houston's recovery from Hurricane Ike. Thank you for your patience as we all work as hard as possible to get our city back to normal. Bill White Mayor" (September 17, 2008, Houston, TX) |
