Nurcihan Uysal, outreach director of Raindrop Turkish House welcomed the guests for the grand opening. Ms. Uysal said "the mission of Raindrop is to introduce Turkish culture into OKC and cultivate friendship and promote the understanding of diverse cultures through its unique services to the community". Raindrop Turkish House contributes to colorful life of society by hosting cultural and social events such as Turkish cuisine classes, cultural nights, Nevruz picnics, traditional dinners, Turkish coffee nights, International Women's day, soccer games, Noah's pudding days, Whirling Dervishes' performances, and Intercultural Dialog Dinners. "These events help us enjoy and strengthen friendship ties with our neighbors and local communities and form a culture of living together", Ms Uysal noted. Raindrop also offers educational services such as Turkish and English classes, seminars and international conferences as well as pre-college math and science courses for students in need.

Among the participants, secretary of state, Susan Savage expressed her appreciation for the opening of Raindrop Turkish House. Ms. Savage said that not only Oklahoma or OKC is strengthened by the culture of Turkey and by Raindrop Turkish House, but we are also part of their family, invited to their homes. It's a privilege to share the culture and be part of the festival. She congratulated the organizers of the festival.

Anastasia Pittman, a state representative, said "we are here as a testimony for strengthening these cultural friendships; and we are soliciting our commitment of reaching to you".
