Azerbaijani Film Premiere in the USA |
HBSCA invites you for the North American premiere of the Azerbaijani film The 40th Door.
It will be featured at AMC Studio 30 Theaters on Dunvale, 2949 Dunvale,
Houston, TX 77063 (south off Westheimer) on Sunday, April 19, 9 pm

The movie, which was directed by Baku-born Elchin Guliyev, author
and director of about 50 documentary and feature films, has been
nominated for the prestigious Remi award at this year's WorldFest and
plans are currently being made for the Director to personally present
the screenings in Houston.
The film tells the story of a 14 year old boy, Rustam, who moves to the
city to find a job after his father is killed by the Russian mafia.
After a group of racketeers attacks him and demands a portion of his
earnings, Rustam starts to dream of another life as a musician. He
eventually finds an unusual friend who is alone in the darkness, much
like himself.
The screening of this movie is facilitated by the Houston-Baku Sister
City Association. Special thanks go to the Ministry of Culture in Baku
for their support in making this screening possible.
