A local organization is sharing its culture with others. The Rain Drop Foundation hosted a meal Friday at the Twin City Mission for about 100 people in need. The dinner was in observance of the Muslim holiday, holiday sacrifice. The Rain Drop Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in Houston for educational and cultural purposes. The organization opened a branch in Bryan this summer.

Raindrop Foundation has established an aid program called Helping Hands. The purpose of the Helping Hands is to help the needy people and aid everyone affected by natural disasters in different parts of the world. The original focus of Twin City Mission was to meet the needs of homeless individuals and families. Through that service, which began in 1963, other areas of need were recognized and new programs were developed to help meet those needs. Whether it is shelter, meals, clothing, household items or whatever, Twin City Mission operates on the premise of not seeing through each other, but rather, seeing each other through.
