‘'WHAT TO DO NOW?''

 

Center for Turkish Studies, and Raindrop Foundation are sponsoring the conference 'Turkish-Armenian Question: What to do now?' The conference will be held on April14th, 2007 in Dallas, Texas at Southern Methodist University (Umphrey Lee Ballroom). The objective of the proposed conference is to investigate the patterns and possible dynamics for peaceful coexistence between Turkish and Armenian societies.

 

The conference aims to inspire Armenian and Turkish societies, enable the public and researchers to explore new approaches and paths to peace, and to employ mutual understanding for future cooperation between Armenians and Turks.

On Friday April 13th there will be an opening reception at the DoubleTree Hotel-8250 North Central Expressway*. Armenian Patriarch His Holiness, Mesrob II Mutafyan, will give a keynote speech at this reception.

 

The Conference will provide an opportunity to hear from scholars from around the world on this subject. In particular, the focus will be on how can both Armenian and Turkish societies achieve both understanding and effective dialog within the foreseeable future.
