Born in Baku, Azerbadjan, Saida lives in Houston, teaches art
and continues to exhibit her works all over the globe. Her exquisite
style transcends the essence of female sensitivity through the warm
texture and subtlety of clay. She writes: "Ideas, moods, elements of
history and nature-these are a mixture of elements which doesn't always
appear smoothly. The shapes are not at all like drawing, a constant
practice. They are multiple explorations of my thinking, using the
wealth of materials available to me now."
Irene Sheytman also
native of Baku offers an original perspective on most precious and
mysterious corners of old European cities. Interestingly, Irene's
passion for architecture is reflected on a very capricious media that
is silk fabric. Intense color palette and striking composition leads
the viewer into hidden mood of urban visual collage. In her own words:
"I hope my art work brings a good mood to viewers and creates feelings
of joy and celebration. But if you are tired of the same picture on
the wall, you can take it down and make a pretty scarf from it!"
Admission is free. Works are available for sale.
