nevruzOur Umbrella organization TCAE (Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians) cordially invites you to join us in the annual 2015 Nowruz Festival which will be held Saturday, March 21st through Sunday March 22nd, 2015 at the Turquoise Center (located 9301 West Bellfort Ave, Houston, Texas, 77031) between 11:00am and 8:00pm! You can watch our introduction video of the upcoming Nowruz Festival at the following link:  Samples of traditional cuisine will be featured from different Eurasian countries which include Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Bosnia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Traditional live shows and cultural performances, fun games for kids, live music, traditional folk dances, and soccer games will be arranged as part of the festival! The Nowruz Festival is one that aims to celebrate the coming of spring as well as unite the people of the world!Nowruz has been observed for more than 3,000 years and has been mostly celebrated on the day of the spring equinox, which is the term used to explain the day when sun shines directly to the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal all over the world.  Before Nowruz gained universal recognition, its geography was vast yet mostly limited to Central Asia and the Middle East. Nowruz is now a deeply rooted traditional celebration amongst the entire Turkic world.

Austin Ladies' Coffee Night with Chief Robledo

IMG 1389Raindrop Turkish House abounded with women from all over Austin In the evening of March 6th, Friday.
Austin Ladies Coffee Night was the motivation for all of them to get together with old friends, make new connections , learn and enjoy the dinner and other attractions of the evening.
There was a ribbon art booth and 2 guest foundations booths at the event. The first one was Gloabal Austin Foundation and second was  Casa da Marianela. Our guests visited those booths and learn more about them.
Our dear friend Liza Pazenza was the emcee of evening.

At this coffee night the theme was preparation bridal hope chest at Turkish culture before wedding ceremony. Turkish ladies exhibited their art crafts from their own dowry.All attandees liked demonstrated Turkish art crafts. Guests enjoyed food and competitions. First correct your own mistakes at relationship with your spouse. Worry less about who is right or wrong or on what you don't like or don't have.
