The Mayor of Bryan was our guest in our Luncheon seriesm last week in Raindrop Turkish House. Mark Conlee is a fourh-generation Bryan resident who was elected to Bryan City Council in May 2004 an elected as Mayor in 2007. He is running for Brazos County Judge. He informed us about 'the local governance system in the US '.

As one of grass roots activities of the Raindrop Turkish House , We organized the
" Noah's Pudding Day ” where puddings prepared by our volunteers were distributed during the day.
" Noah's Pudding " celebrates the common heritage of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In the Muslim prophetic tradition, the day Moses (peace be upon him) and his community were saved from the Pharaoh's army, and the day Noah's (peace be upon him) ark was saved from the flood is celebrated with fasting and in modern times with the sharing of a piece of desert known as Noah's pudding.

Sharing Noah's pudding is a symbolic representation of the unity and essential relationship of humans to one another and to their Creator. Preparing the Noah's pudding is a common practice among Muslim and Christian people around the Mediterranean.

A total of …. puddings were distributed during  the " Noah's Pudding Day ” in Raindrop Turkish House .

Free Turkish Classes on/off campus for Spring 2010 has started...

Turkish language courses started in the first week of February. Before then, we had an orientation to meet with our students (in your convenience at Raindrop Turkish House ) to give a brief orientation and FREE Turkish lunch and tea.

We served  a Turkish Special Meals; Doner,Soup,salads,deserts to all Bryan College Station community on Jan,24th. at  Raindrop Turkish House . It is going to be once in two weeks.If you would like to taste special Turkish foods,please join to our cultural center and enjoy delicious foods and meet with new friends.

Raindrop Turkish House hosted Century 21 agents Nicole Sharp and Lucas Rosenblum.The agents gave a presentation about How to buy a house  and the benefits for buying a house in U.S.

We celebrated a farewell party for a Turkish student, Bekir Engin Eser, who has got his Phd degree in Chemistry Department at TAMU.During his studies, we as a Raindrop Turkish House appriciate his efforts for Turkish comunity.

Raindrop Turkish House organized Movie Night for the Turkish Fans and Turkish people on November 20, at 18.30 pm. As a movie, they watched " Sinav " which was awarded by  different movie festiavel.
The topic of the movie is about the education system and exam for  high school  students who are preparing to attend the college ."
