Congressman Culberson met with Turkic-American Community

dsc_0293.jpgRaindrop Forum in collaboration with Turquoise Council hosted Congressman John Culberson at a Town Hall Meeting. Congressman Culberson represents the 7th District of Texas, a seat formerly held by President George H. W. Bush and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Bill Archer.

Congressman Culberson met with the community leaders from Turkic-American community and directed a speech to the audience. He talked about the several topics such as health care and border security;  (July 29, 2009, Houston, TX)

Hepimizin bildiği üzere, her sene 1 Haziran ve 30 Kasım tarihleri arası Meksika Körfezi’nde oluşan kasırgalardan ötürü Kasırga Sezonu olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Geçen sene Houston merkezli Ike Kasırgası can ve mal kaybına sebep olmuş, biz de Raindrop Helping Hands olarak Katrina, Rita ve Gustav sırasında yapmış olduğumuz organizasyonlarda olduğu gibi sizlerin yanında olabilmek için üç şehirde 24 saat kesintisiz çalışan kriz masaları oluşturmuştuk.

Bu sene sizleri herhangibir felaket olmadan önce alınabilecek bazı tedbirlerle ilgili tekrardan bilgilendirmek istedik.

Sizler ve herkes icin temennimiz bu seneyi kasirga veya herhangibir baska afet yasamadan huzur icinde gecirmektir. (July 23, 2009, Houston, TX)

Raindrop Turkish House Hosts Galaxy Club of Oklahoma City University

untitled.jpgRaindrop Turkish House hosted a dinner party with the members of Galaxy Club of Oklahoma City University (OCU) on July 14, 2009. Galaxy Club is a social group comprised of trustees, faculty, and staff members at OCU. OCU Vice President and Provost Bernie Patterson, Dean of School of Business Vincent F.
