Raindrop Turkish House of Tulsa hosted the chief officers of Broken Arrow Police Department         Raindrop Turkish House of Tulsa hosted the chief officers of Broken Arrow Police Department on Wednesday, March 18th for a community dinner and a Security Seminar. Over 40 members for the Turkish community of Tulsa were present at this friendly dinner. Kamil Celik of Raindrop Turkish House gave a brief introduction of the Turkish community in Tulsa area and invited Chief of Police Todd Wuestewald to help the Turkish community understand the safety in the U.S.A. better. (March 18,2009,Tulsa,OK) Read more...   Raindrop Turkish House of Tulsa hosted First Aid and CPR Seminars       Raindrop Turkish House of Tulsa hosted American Red Cross on Saturday, April 11th at its Tulsa office for First Aid and Adult, Child and Infant CPR Seminar. Several members from the Turkish community of Tulsa participated at the seminar and achieved their certificates. Instructors Ashley and Tina taught the participants how to act when they face an emergency situation and how to perform a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).At the end of the seminar, Raindrop Turkish House volunteers offered "Turkish hot tea" to their guests and gave some information about Turkey, Turkish Community in Tulsa and the Turkish culture.(April 11,2009,Tulsa,OK) Read more...   Annual Turkish Festival & Grand Opening Ceremony      Raindrop Turkish House Grand Opening & Turkish Festival is rescheduled on May 9th,2009 due the weather condition. The Special Joint Committee on International Development in conjunction with the Governor's International Team invited Raindrop Turkish House to participate in International Student Awareness Day as an exhibitor. The volunteers of Oklahoma City Raindrop Turkish House exhibited some posters from several parts of Turkey and they shared brochures about the beautiful parts of their country. What better way to celebrate our environment than by coloring the sky with kites fashioned from renewable resources and powered by the wind? All Oklahomans are invited The Kite Festival at Stars & Stripe Park, Sunday, April 19, 1 pm to 6 pm.   2009 World's Fair at Carl Albert High School      Raindrop Turkish House joined the World's Fair at Carl Albert high School. Raindrop Turkish House of Oklahoma City sponsored the students, who want to exhibit Turkey at 2009 World's Fair project.
