Raindrop Turkevi Executives Ali Riza Candir and Cemil Teber visited Pierre Grandjouan,  Consul General of France. During warm conversation, they talked about the cultural diversity in Houston and its positive effect on establishing dialogue between diverse communities.

State Representative, District 136 Beverly Woolley visited Raindrop Turkish House. After a warm and casual dinner, Turkish coffee and desserts were enjoyed and a great conversation took off. A brief presentation of past activities and the upcoming events of Raindrop Turkevi were given, such as Turkish Language Olympiad and Turkic Fest.

The aid campaign that we, Raindrop Helping Hands, started in last November to help the victims of Sidr cyclone in Bangladesh has ended.  We owe our greatest gratitude to everyone who donated to this campaign generously. Raindrop Executive Dr. Mustafa Ercetin informed Sheriff Box about activities of Raindrop Turkevi and also mentioned contributions of Foundation to the society. Dr. Ercetin also invited Sheriff Box to Raindrop Turkevi activities. Sheriff Terry G Box highlighted importance of the Raindrop Turkevi and IID in society to promote peace and mutual understanding among diverse cultures in Texas.  25th Annual Black Music and The Civil Rights Movement Concert was held in The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. This concert was organized by TBAAL (The Black Academy of Arts and Letters). Two thousand people have attended to the concert which was tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.Raindrop Turkevi executives and members were present during the concert as a special guest of Mr. Curtis King, Founder and President of TBAAL. Raindrop Turkevi, Dallas Branch Director Vepa Rejepov delivered a speech titled ‘Words on Dr. King'.
